Formed in 2006 by two brothers from the former republic of Yugoslavia, Tampa-based metallers Early Rising is a project that packs plenty of old school metallic wallop Brother’s “Zee” Toader and, Mick Toader wrote the songs included on this nifty little ep. There’s plenty to rave about if you’re still hungering for old school hard rock or heavy metal. Included in Early Rising’s musical repertoire are special consultant Larry LaFalce, former Wise Guy bassist/vocalist Jody Gray, singer Addam Santana, and lead guitarist Steve Malagna. Mastered by famed engineer Stephen Marsh, Early Rising songs such as “Fly the Wind,” and the especially poignant “In the Land of the Living” and “Stand Alone” – complete with really scintillating acoustic introductions, bring back memories of what hard rock music was all about: cool, clean, crunchy chords layered with satisfying crunch throughout.
