Lady Killers to the Kore!
May 12th, 2009 | By Thomas Garcia | Category: Artist ProfilesKore is a Tampa-based, all female original rock band. Formed in 2005, Kore and consists of lead vocalist/bassist Traci, Susan on guitar, and drummer Jax. The trio has performed in venues across the greater Tampa Bay area and have grabbed the attention of local media, including print, radio, and television. They recently filmed a music video “You Confuse Me.” Kore plans to return to the studio to record new material later this year. Traci has played in several bands both as a lead singer and bassist. She has recorded several originals prior to forming KORE and has since written many new songs for the band’s upcoming new CD. Since joining Kore in 2006, Susan was initially hesitant about joining Kore. An accomplished guitar player and pianist, mild-mannered Suz – an engineer by trade, eventually conceded and, a week following her audition, was performing live with Kore. She dutifully attends Kore rehearsals in spite of Traci’s plethora of practical jokes. Drummer Jax is the newest addition to KORE. Also an experienced and accomplished musician, Jax methodically brings a unique flavor to Kore’s musical style and substance. She’s also an author and prolific songwriter who can play the guitar and sing, though she prefers to hide behind her cymbals. Jax is a licensed massage therapist who toured with the Ringling Brothers as an aerial acrobat, so you never know what might happen at one of Kore’s shows!
